Out of Control Sexual Behaviour
There is a significant increase of individuals who are finding the courage to seek out therapeutic treatment for out-of-control sexual behaviours, whether they lean towards identifying it as a sexual addiction, sexual obsession-compulsion, or sexual dysregulation . Admitting to the problem is the first hurdle to healing and finding the path to recovery.
Many men live in cycles of shame and guilt and feel that they are alone, powerless to change themselves. Group therapy is ideal for men to know that they are indeed not alone and are sharing the same concerns and issues with other members. Receive support, encouragement and understanding as you gain confidence through shared discussion and social connectivity. Our trained therapists can give you the tools to deal with the urges, risky sexual behaviours and obsessive intrusive thoughts.
Men’s Group: Healthy Sexuality and Integrity
Location: Mackenzie Hall
Time: Tuesdays 6:00pm – 7:30pm (subject to change)
Duration: Open-ended (start anytime once an assessment has been completed)
Group Type: This group is professionally led. Areas explored will be addressing hypersexuality-sex addiction, pornography addiction-cybersex, partner betrayal & intimate ruptures in relationships, lack of empathy, and sexual and emotional regulation.
Cost: $30 per session.
In order to join a group therapy session, you must undergo one individual session for assessment. Contact the office to book an appointment to complete an intake form to see if you would require individual or group counselling.
